At Journey College Planning, everything we do is student-driven—and Joanna Begley embodies that mission with heart and precision. As Director of Student Success and Enrichment, Joanna leads with empathy, insight, and a deep understanding of what it means to support young people through transformative decisions.

A mother, teacher, and lifelong mentor, Joanna brings a rich blend of personal and professional experience to her role. She sees each student as a whole person—with unique strengths, stories, and aspirations—and she’s committed to helping them thrive academically, emotionally, and strategically. Her work bridges guidance and enrichment, ensuring that every student feels seen, supported, and celebrated.

Joanna is also a proud participant in the Peer Buddies Mentor Program, where she champions the power of student-to-student support. “The idea of students supporting one another is heartwarming,” she says. “It’s like a buddy system for kindness.” Her mentees know her as someone who listens deeply, encourages consistently, and always has a math riddle or prime number fact ready to brighten the day.

Whether she’s guiding a family through college planning or helping a student rediscover their confidence, Joanna is an invaluable force for good at JCP—making success feel personal, possible, and joyful.
