Mentoring and Advocating

This all stems from my passion for helping and advocating for the young adults in my life. During my career, I have managed teams, trained, coached and mentored including creating, managing and running internship programs. Whether an international coffee retailer or a local boutique business, the experience with these companies gives me experience to assist and support our student clients to find their career choices which align with who they are as well as their future goals. Creating JCP was a natural fit!

Recalling my own struggles to figure out the future is a motivator when working with the students. Young people are expected to make major decisions without the knowledge or experience needed to be most successful. These decisons have price tags of as much as $250,000! That doesn't seem right to me; it's not fair to the students and really unfair to many families.

I'm also a parent to two amazing young adults and have been in the position of sending them to college. The vetting of schools and programs, then choosing a place that made sense from location to the cost was at times overwhelming. I, alone, paid for my college education. My husband and I saved for our kids. I have perspective and I'm making it my mission to help share as much information with as many families as we can reach to help make this process be more positive and better for everyone's future. Our students and families deserve to be truly supported.

College planning is a multifaceted process.
