My college career was not something I took as seriously as I should have at the age of 17. I attended the University of New Hampshire and received an associate degree in culinary/hospitality management, then worked in the Hospitality sales arena during my 20s. At the age of 31, I realized I needed to obtain my bachelor’s degree, embarking alone and with little resources in applying to an undergraduate program in Business Administration. It took a lot of time and frustration to navigate transferring my credits to a four-year university from over 15 years prior. I transferred two times during my undergrad and spent many hours hunting down my college advisor to assist me with goal planning, course selection, and general guidance. When I graduated in 2015, I was a wife and mother. I am proud of what I did accomplish, but I had always wished my experience would have been more enjoyable and less stressful.
Much of my experience over the past few years is in Business Administration and Government Sales. However, recently, I took a leap in my career along the way to get involved within the community, something that felt more rewarding and for the greater good. I reside in Milford, Massachusetts, with my family. Currently, I work within the Milford Public School system. I work with a diverse student body, believing each student is unique and deserves an advocate, a voice, someone that is not their parent and can remain neutral in getting what they need and deserve!
